What will your job look like?
- Design, install, configure and maintain different SDN/Cloud Technologies and data networks infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex data networks infrastructure problems and outages across a broad range of technologies and simulate labs as needed.
- Maximize network infrastructure performance; tune performance parameters by analyzing monitoring and trend analysis reports using network monitoring/management platforms including SolarWinds.
- Secure network infrastructure by establishing and enforcing security policies and monitoring access.
- Schedule and perform upgrades to keep network infrastructure technology current.
- Work with different IT stake holders within the organization and with external customers to ensure that network infrastructure supports the needs of the organization and customers.
- Debug system-level problems in hardware and software in multi-vendor, multi-protocol data networks.
- Administrate and manage full lifecycle for network Switches, Routers, Load Balancers and Firewalls.
- Provide transport infrastructure support (LAN, WAN, MPLS) and VPN configuration for various connectivity between heterogenous networks, including working with Service Providers.
- Identify solutions to malfunctions while ensuring that designated network equipment and computers stay functional.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related, and 2 years of relevant work experience.
- In addition, the following skills are required: (1) Administering networks using routing protocols including BGP, OSPF and E-IGRR and designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and optimizing routing protocol as needed; (2) Encrypting and securing data using different transport mechanisms, including: LAN, WAN, MPLS over optical transports, IPSec, and GRE over public internet transport and working with service providers; (3) Designing, physically installing, implementing, managing policy for, and troubleshooting firewalls including Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco NGFW/ASAs, and migrating firewalls from one OEM to another; (4) Conducting design, physical installations, implementations, policy management, troubleshooting, distribution and increasing application capacity with Load Balancers (F5, Array) and migrating Load Balancers from one OEM to another; (5) Administering the rollout of SDN or Intent based technologies in data centers, including designing, deploying, and administering Software Defined networking using various OEM solutions (Cisco ACI, Cisco DCNM, VMWare NSX, Apstra, Arista CVP/CB, or Juniper Contrail); performing the HW/SW Platform upgrade as needed and performing platform migrations from traditional 3 ties networks (web/app/db) to Software Defined Networks; and (6) Monitoring and managing logs on Network Management Platforms using SolarWinds Orion, Syslog-ng servers.
