Job Overview:

Director of Enterprise Architecture will join the technology leadership team to help update and shape our Architecture and Data strategy and drive change across our applications and data portfolio. The Director of EA will be the primary interface into MMC Enterprise Architecture function for OWG and contribute to MMC standards, guidelines and principles and while ensuring OWG alignment.

This individual will need to be a self-starter who is a team player and will require excellent communication skills to work in a complex, demanding, and global professional services environment. The role requires a high degree of organization, significant attention to details, strong customer service orientation and outstanding client relationship building skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be accountable for the overall Enterprise Architecture function within OWG and help develop strategies to provide solutions and services to consulting business and lead with a long-term view
• Be responsible to partner will all technology teams in OWG to ensure consistent architecture guidelines and principles are applied across the firm.
• Partner with Technical Product Management, Business Systems, Information Security and Infrastructure teams to ensure understanding and adherence to standards and processes
• Manage Data architecture, Systems architecture and DevOps architecture teams to deliver Enterprise Architecture capability and services while ensuring team has appropriate development plans
• Represent OWG and lead/participate in Architecture Working Group, EA core meeting, Tech On Boarding, Architecture Assurance, Standards governance
• Provide oversight as senior IT Leader to key projects
• Develop a roadmap to onboard new projects for dev ops environment

To be successful in this role you will have as much of the following as possible:

• Proven strategic and Enterprise Architecture role experience in a senior leadership role
• Energized by complex problem solving and ability to push the innovation on solutions
• Ability to present effectively and persuasively defend long term vision to senior business leaders and to teams
• Deep background in agile methodologies and in engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, design driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications, and application security
• Have a good understanding of enterprise architecture at all tiers to enable effective leadership
• Have excellent stakeholder management and business engagement skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization
• Have a good understanding of security and privacy principles
• Neutral toward technology, vendor and product choices; more interested in results than in personal preferences.
• Unflappable in the face of opposition to architectural ideals.

Preferred but are not essential to being successful in the role:

• Familiarity with current Enterprise Architecture frameworks and methodologies (Zachman, TOGAF, Gartner) and other methodologies like ITIL, Prince2, MSP, CISSP
