If you are a lead software engineer looking for an opportunity to influence the technical direction of software products, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Eden Prairie, MN location, you will join an agile product development team, designing and developing software for industrial process applications.

AS A SOFTWARE ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
  • Design and develop software services that collect wireless device data
  • Design and develop software applications that monitor system health and analyze vibration data
  • Provide architectural direction and advice
  • Lead and mentor other engineers
  • Collaborate with local and global development teams

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering and 6 years of applicable experience
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems
  • Experience building software in a microservices architecture
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Experience with cloud and serverless architecture concepts
  • Experience with front end web development and frameworks such as React or Angular
  • Experience with CI/CD tools
  • Experience with version control software such as Git
  • Experience with web application frameworks such as ASP.NET Core
  • Experience participating in a structured secure development process
  • Experience participating in and defining an Agile/Scrum team workflow
  • Experience using work management tools such as Azure DevOps
  • Domain knowledge for Vibration, signal processing, spectrum analysis
