Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Software Engineer Level a Principal Engineer Software / Sr. Principal Engineer Software. Join an agile software development team designing and building advanced, state-of-the-art, aircraft mission planning applications and services used for modern mission planning systems. This project will develop and deliver software for the Core Mission Planning Agile Release Train (CMP ART).
Candidates for this position will be responsible for Designing, developing, documenting, testing and debugging the JMPS Open Mission Systems (JOMS) application software that contains logical and mathematical solutions. In this position you will develop advanced, automated, real-time complex problem solving solutions for manned and unmanned applications. Your work will be performed using Agile development methodologies in a team environment with development using the Air Force and Navy’s Software Factories. This position can be hired at a level 1 or a level 2. The preferred location for this position is on-site in Manhattan Beach, CA but Full-Time Remote is an available option.

- B.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, and 5 plus years’ experience in agile software development or 3 years’ experience with Masters
- Experience as a technical lead using Agile/Scrum software development techniques/tools/processes
- Development experience using (C#.NET, C++), with at least 4 years’ experience
- Experience developing Java Services/.NET Core Services
- Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps processes
- Experience with developing automated unit tests and evaluating code coverage
- Experience with Static Code Analysis (Fortify, Checkmarx, SonarQube)
- US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- B.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, and 9 plus years’ experience in agile software development or 7 years’ experience with Masters
- Experience as a technical lead using Agile/Scrum software development techniques/tools/processes
- Development experience using (C#.NET, C++), with at least 4 years’ experience
- Experience developing Java Services/.NET Core Services
- Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps processes
- Experience with developing automated unit tests and evaluating code coverage

- US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Able to function in multi-disciplinary team-oriented environment and rapidly adapt to
