Principal-System Engineer
This position will support the DARE application which supports Network Engineering & Operations’ Vulnerability Management and Archer eGRC platforms. The candidate must be able to work with internal teams to analyze business problems, provide recommendations, design, develop, test, deploy, and sustain technical/automation solutions to integrate database and other systems such as Oracle RDBMS, MS SQL Server, RSA Archer and Tenable Security Center.
Principal Functional Skills / Competencies associated with this Title:
2) Experience utilizing a software development method that emphasizes business process analysis, collaboration (information sharing and web service usage), integration, automation, and measurement of success of developed solutions.
3) Demonstrated success managing the interdependence of software development, quality assurance, and requirements
4) Experience with configuration and integration with at least one of the following commercial products: Azure DevOps, Oracle RDBMS version 12+, Oracle APEX, RSA Archer, Tenable Security Center, Tenable Nessus, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Microsoft Windows Server (latest), Microsoft SQL Server 2016, AES data encryption
5) Experience in scripting: Korn, Bash, Perl, Python
6) Experience with SQL/PLSQL Development (procedures/functions/packages), HTTP/HTTPS SOAP/REST development, and Java development experience
7) Experience with IP Network and security fundamentals as it relates to security or Network + Certification.
8) Experience and ability to lead projects, work individually on projects, as well as, be a team player.
Responsibilities: 1) Defining software behavioral requirements and engage/negotiate with operations stakeholders to develop software functional requirements; controls project schedules and deadlines. 2) Providing technical support to all phases of software development, operation and management. 3) Develop processes and programs (using database procedures/packages, scripting, Java, etc.) to enhance or create interfaces between applications using database connectivity, HTTP REST, SOAP, XML, JSON or other technologies 4) Support (non-mission critical) application in production involving deploying code (expected 6+ scheduled releases per year) and remediating issues impacting the environment as well as some on-call periods

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or related field
- 8-10 years related technical architect experience
- Proficient in engineering cost estimates and economic analyses and models
- Knowledge of wireless technologies standards and protocols (3GPP, Wi-Fi, WiMax, antennas, amplifiers, base stations, propagation, interference, spectrum)
- Proficient in voice, video, and app technologies/protocols (circuit, VoIP, SIP, IMS, AIN, Camel, etc.)
- Proficient in network and system architecture (subsystems, interfaces, hw/sw dependencies).
- Proficient in message and conference systems and networks (multiple media, notification, presence, unified communications, video).
- Knowledge in Network Management, Tools and Protocols (Configuration, IP network Address Management, Perf, Mgmt).
- Understands Virtualization, Storage and Content Delivery Networks (Cloud, CDM, Grid, SAN).
- Proficient in specifying and evaluating architecture requirements for RFXs.
- Enterprise wide deployment planning and support for mission critical applications for major releases, both business and infrastructure related
- Develops technical documentation on applications and systems
- Ability to work with technical and business-oriented teams
