We have an immediate need for an IT Project Manager for our start-up government-related client in the Omaha metro. This firm will be ramping up from 5+ employees to over 300 in their first year, and hundred's more thereafter.
Your mission will include:
- Lead the project, from analyzing and understanding customer needs, writing specifications throughl the implementation of the solution
- Coordinate the internal and external team members who are taking part into the implementation and deployment of the solution
- Supervise the technical teams involved
- Deliver the projects on quality, cost and deadline
- Ensure customer satisfaction through the life of the project
- Estimate implementation costs and staffing needs
- Plan and distribute project tasks
- Lead the software development process: specifications, technical design, development, sprints monitoring, tests, documentation, production and support
- Manage vendors and partners, wherever they are located
- Check compliance with the specifications and achievement against project objectives
- Define and manage the scope and leads projects change requests
- Define and monitor project risks
- Provide regular follow-up reports to the Program Director
- Bachelor's degree in technology
- Any additional certifications such as PMP, PbMP, PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practioner), Scrum Master, or SAFe certifications would be favored
- 5+ years' experience leading custom software development projects or systems integration projects.
- Experience with PEGA will put you at the top of the list!
- Minimum 2 years' experience in agile software development
- Knowledge of DevOps environments
- Advanced computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based project management solutions (experience with JIRA is a plus).
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with people at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple projects, its priorities on a daily basis and its commitments (quality, cost, deadline)
- Demonstrated ability to foster and grow professional relationships with customers (professionalism, responsiveness, flexibility …)
- Ability to manage difficult situations, conflicts and decide objectively according to the requirements
- Ability to be a team player and manage international teams
- Ability to motivate, lead and manage a team
- Ability to analyze and synthesize
- Adaptability and autonomy
- Ability to work onsite daily.
