Role Description:
The Project Manager manages the project for the legacy infrastructure and pipelines migration to the hyper-scalers. Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of the project on time, within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, monitor and summarize progress of the project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project. He or she will coordinate with the DevOps Department to ensure successful delivery of the project within the defined timeline and budget. He/she will also act as a liaison between the DevOps organization.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate internal resources and contractors/third party vendors for the execution of projects
Coordinate with the product owners of both the pipelines and infrastructure teams as also the DevOps department lead
Ensure that the project is delivered on time, within scope and budget
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Report and escalate to management as needed
Perform risk management to minimize project risks in consultation with the product manager
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Create and maintain comprehensive project office documentation
Drive a culture of collaboration and DevOps mindset across the project
Qualifications desired:
Proven working experience in project management
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Project Management Professional (PMP) / ITIL4 certification is a plus
