- Working with Agile teams and leveraging Agile tools in order to accomplish Release Management goals;
- Displaying problem solving and the ability to partner with Product Owners, Developers, SRE/Devops teams,, Release Engineers and other engineers across an organization;
- Mentoring and guiding teams around Release Management best practices;
- Exhibiting facilitation, organization and collaboration skills;
- Understanding of how releases are managed in a PaaS, SaaS and Cloud based solution;
- Working to partner with the DevOps tools team to build in controls/governance in to the pipeline;
- Implementing and evolving release management to support Continuous Delivery and Deployment modes;
- Acting as a team player with the ability to influence and negotiate;
- Managing risk and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality;
- Leading and mentoring small teams of change and release managers to drive best practices and deliver results;
- Understanding of tools such as JIRA and Confluence for Release Management activities; and,
- Driving release process improvements and release automation.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in the following areas:
- Leading and managing onshore/offshore teams;
- Demonstrating exposure with automation efforts of several aspects of software development; for example: automate build process upon code check-in, automate deployment, and configuring artifacts repository (ie. experience setting up a continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline using tools like Jenkins or Bamboo);
- Working knowledge of implementing Blue-Green deployments to reduce downtime and risk; and,
- Demonstrating Project Management experience using Scrum or Kanban.
