Reporting to our Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Automation Engineer II will be developing test automation suites to support our custom-developed applications within the fast-paced QA Automation team. We operate very quickly and time to market is imperative. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and executing automated solutions at scale that complement our existing test suite and leveraging existing test automation tools. The Test Automation Engineer will support the software development life cycle from requirements gathering, technical design, change management, unit testing, user acceptance testing, and automated regression testing through production release. This position is based at our Administrative Office (HQ) in Irving (Las Colinas), Texas.

Key Responsibilities
- Enhance test automation architecture framework and solutions using JavaScript and SQL Server, Transact SQL (TSQL)
- Build and validate automated scripts to integrate in a CI/CD pipeline for automation and reduce our time to market in Azure DevOps and Octopus Deploy
- Collaborate with product and integration development teams to enhance knowledge of business systems to better contribute to the architecture of testing suites and accompanying automation
- Develop testing solutions exercising Web Services/API Technologies, Microservices, and design principles in a hybrid cloud environment
- Design dashboards to effectively communicate software test results to invested stakeholders
- Develop a deep understanding of business processes and integration points to provide a more robust end to end testing automation
- Document and maintain test automation scripts, architecture, and processes
- Partner with QA analysts to build Requirements Traceability Matrix and Test Plans
- Foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Military/other experience
- Experience in automated testing for UI (WPF, WinForms, Web Pages, Console), Web Services (REST/SOAP), Postman/Soap UI, and Unit Tests
- At least 1 year experience in any of the test automation tools such as SmartBear Test Complete, Selenium, Cucumber, UI Path, Coded UI, QTP, and/or UFT
- Experience using JavaScript and SQL Server
- Experience in XML/JSON building, parsing, and shredding
- Experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks supporting multithreaded execution in DevOps CI/CD
- Local (Dallas/Fort Worth area) candidates only – no relocation
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and not require sponsorship in the future
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of manual QA testing experience
- JavaScript or any programming language certification is a plus
- Familiarity with Visual Studio
- Experience working in cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience with TFS Version control system or Git Version Control System
- Experience with TFS Test Explorer or DevOps
- Agile methodology experience (Agile, Scrum, SAFe, etc)
