PROJECT: The ECG team is building a MFT platform to replace our existing vendor-based tool. We need Quality Engineer resources to build the test automation framework. There will be front-end and back-end work as part of this project.
TOP REQUIREMENTS:
- Selenium Development - 10 years
- Java Development - 10 years
- Quality Analysis - 10 years
LOCATION: Candidates are expected to be 100% remote.
Work Hours: The team starts very early ET (7am), so West Coast candidates should be aware of this expectation.
TEAM STRUCUTRE: Candidates will work in an Agile environment and the teams are structured with no more than 10 members to a team
INTERVIEW PROCESS: Candidates should expect two video interviews; a very technical first-round interview and a second-round interview that is technical and with leadership and the hiring manager Hiring process should start as soon as possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project; full stack developer with expertise in Java/Perl/Python technologies
- Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
- Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosen
- Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness
- Establish and control code quality standards, development best practices, defect-free code delivery for the teams
- Review test cases specifications and design documents
- Understand and help with the new product and existing product design/architecture to enable world class MFT product.
- Experience of 10+ years with strong testing skills. Able to develop test strategy, design test plan, and test cases effectively and independently.
- QA background with experience/responsible for full life-cycle testing activities (manual and automated) of applications based on defined requirements in identifying and writing/reviewing test plans, test cases and testing results. Perform thorough System, Integration, Regression, load, performance and End to End testing.
- Experience in Java 8 / J2EE, Strong in Java Concurrency, IO and Collection, database query, HTTP & REST API design/SOAP Web Services
- Experience in different automation tools Selenium, Protractor, JMeter etc.
- Good understanding of development processes and tools - Sonar, Jenkins, Git, CI/CD
- Expertise with JUnit, TestNG, or any other test framework. JUnit test cases and knowledge on DevOps toolchain, Continuous Testing/Automation
- Influence the team with lead by example and provide required coaching/mentoring for team members and setting engineering best practices and making sure team adherence of the same.
- Bachelor's / Advanced degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience
- Understanding of fundamental software engineering and computer science principles: object-oriented design, structured design, databases, algorithms, data structures, usability, debugging, and configuration management
- Strong technical and platform knowledge, including some or all of: Java, J2EE, Open source related technologies - Perl/Any Scripting language, MySQL
- Experience in any observability frameworks such as Splunk/Graffana/Kibana etc.
- Experience in event streaming/message queuing with proficiency in RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ/Kafka etc.
- Experience in working any NoSQL databases such as MongoDB/Cassandra/Aerospike etc.
- Experience in container orchestration and proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes
- Understanding of Data Model and create Complex SQL queries to Identify and creating test data.
- Knowledge in different SDLC models and should have
