REMOTE- Senior Data Engineer Insight Global Plano, TX Full Time

An employer is looking for a Senior Data Engineer out of Plano, TX or remotely. Your primary responsibility will be data ingestion, receiving data from real time systems/ API end points and processing the data to push downstream. The client operates in a scrum methodology and you will perform biweekly sprints and work closely with the PO and scrum master to prioritize items on the backlog. You will aid in the development and support of the data pipelines as well as maintain some of the data applications utilized by other ecommerce teams. Additional tasks will include improving data availability, participate in design sessions, demos and prototype sessions as well as testing and training workshops.

3-5 years experience in data engineering
2+ years experience engineering data pipelines, end to end delivery of data sets
2+ years experience in hands on development with Java/ Scala, Python, SQL, etc.
Experience with Big data frameworks like Apache Kafka, Scala and databases (MongoDB)
Cloud platform experience, specially AWS
Experience in event-driven microservices/ devops/ data engineering pipelines in the cloud
