RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is seeking a Remote Senior SRE - Kubernetes/Azure. This role implements system enhancements (software and applications), as directed, that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. Responsibilities:

• Supports all application servers and mission critical services for the 24/7 running of medical device web based accessories
• Coordinates application migration, installation, monitoring, testing, and servicing for web applications
• Administers SQL Server, NoSQL, and PostgreSQL database applications
• Manages and organizes web servers and web applications in both windows and Linux operating systems
• Design & build systems which improve scalability, usability, & performance
• Work cross-functionally with remote Product Managers, DevOps Engineers, & Software Engineers to understand, implement, & deploy pipelines
• Develop & maintain monitoring & alerting of all production services
• Build metric based dashboards for production services as needed
• Develop & maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Develop & maintain automated system testing
• Manage configuration management of infrastructure using Chef
• Work closely with remote Security team to maintain security in production environments
• Work closely with remote Network team to maintain networks in production environments
• Manager incident response & incident management in production environments
• Member of 24/7 remote response team within DevOps team
• Key member of application release & deployments
• Explore the state-of-the-art technologies & apply them to deliver customer benefits
• Performs technology needs analysis by conferring with departmental personnel to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, & learn specific input & output requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS in computer science or equivalent combination of education & applicable job experience
• Equivalent education includes technical school training & certifications in networks & servers
• 5+ years of experience working in a CI/CD &/or server software deployment environment
• Deploying software to Linux & Windows Servers
• Deploying to Microsoft Azure
• Worked with Python, Nodejs, or similar languages
• Effectively communicate results to peers & leaders
• Working technical knowledge NoSQL, PostgreSQL, & Microsoft SQL Server
• Working technical knowledge of web applications & platforms including IIS, Node.JS, Nginx
• Able to read & understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, & OEM guides
• Ability to conduct research into applications issues & products as required
• Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
• Strong customer-service orientation
• Knowledge & experience agile methodologies
• Knowledge & experience with FDA & ISO regulated industries, a plus

• Deep Kubernetes experience
• Azure Cloud - Deployment & Maintaining.
• Hashicorp Suite - Terraform, Vault, Consul, & Packer
• Chef configuration management
• Containers/Microservices - Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, & Helm
• Monitoring/Alerting - New Relic, OpsGenie, Statuspage
• Atlassian Suite - Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, & Bamboo
• Artifact Storage - Artifactory
