Job Description:







The Solution Train Engineer & Portfolio Manager for the Data Science, Integration and Analytics Services team will be responsible for leading high-performing agile portfolio releases by closely overseeing the build of multiple data science and analytics platforms, as well as, application teams. They will function at a high level within the enterprise, focusing on end-to-end solution delivery.

The candidate will continuously partner with business stakeholders, application development teams, and platform engineering teams in order to define the scope of overall release increments. He/she will facilitate “a single voice” on releases to ensure alignment to program goals and objectives.

This role will help ensure value delivery and help drive relentless improvement. He/she will improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the DevOps and Release on Demand competency. The candidate will support use case intake, portfolio execution, track/escalate impediments, manage risk and program board with dependencies, and create portfolio level reporting.

Within our organization, the ideal candidate will be an active leader in our lean-agile transformation by coaching leaders, teams, and scrum masters in the new processes and mindsets. He/she will help configure SAFe to the needs of the organization, standardizing and documenting practices. This role will foster communities of practice and the use of engineering and built-in quality practices.



Requirements

• 15 years of experience or equivalent

• Leadership experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

• 5+ years of experience as Scrum of Scrums Master

• Strong customer engagement skills, comfortable communicating with product owner and ability to manage client relationship and expectations

• Ability to communicate with technical team members to translate requirements into technical terminology

• Ability to facilitate impediment resolution in a timely, cost effective manner

• Organize and facilitate Agile related meetings

• Work with the team to develop release plans, roadmaps and manage backlog

• Communicate team plans, report impediments for escalation, identify risks/concerns to relevant stakeholders to help resolve

• Demonstrated experience conducting working sessions for requirements gathering

• Strong expertise with JIRA and Confluence

• Strong written and verbal communications skills; comfortable communicating with senior levels of both business and technology leadership

• Strong ability to present data in impactful way to drive decisions with stakeholders and executives

Desired Skills:

• Current professional certification in Agile Methodologies

Nice to have

• Experience working with data engineers, data scientists and data analysts in delivering data platform solutions
