Have you ever enjoyed Arnold®, Brownberry® or Oroweat® bread? A Thomas’® English muffin or bagel? Or perhaps snacked on a Sara Lee®, Entenmann’s® or Marinela® cake or donut? If the answer is yes, then you know Bimbo Bakeries USA!
Bimbo Bakeries U.S. (BBU) is looking for a Scrum Master who is looking to play a key leadership role on a new, cutting-edge cross-functional Agile marketing team at Bimbo Bakeries USA (BBU). BBU is currently embarking on an exciting transformation in the way the company invests in our brands to generate growth. As part of this effort, BBU is standing up several new teams focused on performance marketing and trade optimization, testing various strategies for deploying media spend and trade investment to drive profitable growth.
The Scrum Master role acts as the “servant leader” of the team, helping a cross-functional team of 4-6 functional experts reach and sustain peak performance. The Scrum Master is responsible for overseeing all Agile rituals (i.e., daily Scrum/stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives) and for removing impediments that the team encounters, all in service of identifying the path to grow our most important brands.
This person will be expected to be/develop into an expert in Scrum methodology and modern CPG marketing tactics. This expertise is critical to help train other team members and ensure the methodology is understood and followed across the team. Knowledge of CPG marketing is a nice-to-have in this role, but not required.
This is not a typical project manager role. The Scrum Master is expected to serve as a thought partner to the Product Owner, assisting with backlog generation, managing scope, tracking key priorities, and maintaining a clear view of the current Sprint objectives and outcomes. This person is also expected to play a key role in communicating progress and priorities to members of leadership.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Bimbo Bakeries USA is part of Grupo Bimbo, the world’s largest baking company with operations in 32 countries. Bimbo Bakeries USA (“BBUSA”) includes BBUSA and its subsidiaries and affiliated entities, including, but not limited to, Wholesome Harvest Baking, East Balt, and Acelerada. BBUSA employs 20,000 associates across the U.S. in bakeries, sales centers, corporate offices and on sales routes to ensure our consumers have the freshest products to feed their families at every meal. But our associates come to work for much more – the chance to feed their own lives through exciting work that offers the opportunity to make a real difference in their professional and personal lives every day.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be requested to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Bimbo Bakeries USA is an equal opportunity employer with a policy that provides equal employment opportunity for applicants and employees regardless of race, color, religion, disability, gender, age, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other classification protected by law.
