Clinical Data Services Management Team is focused on building clinical data exchange with Providers, EMR’s, Clinical Data Aggregators, HIE’s, Hospitals and Hospital systems in order to improve data accuracy and quality of care as part of UHC’s collective clinical programs. This program is also involved in delivery of an integrated prospective and retrospective HEDIS processing, and simplification of provider onboarding and data submission. We are key players in transforming health care industry.

This position is responsible for the coordination and completion of major Clinical Data Services initiatives. The successful candidate is expected to work on a servant leader mode in an agile environment and lead scrum teams to complete the work efforts on time, provide necessary reporting through or outside CA Agile Central and manage team members by influence. The Scrum Master coaches the teams on agile practices, removes and escalates impediments to delivery leadership, coordinates and facilitates team ceremonies, collaborates with product Owner to ensure requirements are clearly defined, coordinates and facilitates PI Planning activities for the team, and works to create the highest performing team possible.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Act as a buffer between the software development teams and any distracting influences
  • Safeguard the quality of the products
  • Ensure that the Scrum process is used as intended and continually improved. Enforce the rules of Scrum, facilitate key meetings, and challenge the teams to innovate
  • Help the team with the planning of the Sprints, prioritization of the sprint backlog, coordinate the development process, identify and eliminate obstacles that prevent the team from achieving their goals, prepare burndown charts, and ensure crystal clear communication among everyone involved in the project
  • Help team with facilitation of SAFe Framework planning and execution ceremonies
  • Coaches and leads team on all SAFe Framework practices including DevOps and Continuous Delivery Pipeline

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of Scrum Master experience
  • 3+ years of experience within automation, optimization of file/data processing and data integration
  • 3+ years of experience facilitating data solution design, architecture & delivery planning activities across geographically diverse and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience with complete software development life cycle using Agile delivery methods
  • Experience working with offshore and other distributed teams
  • Experience working with more than one team
  • Proficient in using CA Agile Central/Rally in day to day work
  • Demonstrated solid understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
  • General understanding of CMS Stars ratings, HEDIS and standard health care file formats included CCD, CCDA, XML, V3, C32, HL7, ORU, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • SAFe Scrum Master or other Scrum certifications
  • Medicare and/or Healthcare industry experience
  • Experience leading and developing teams in SAFe Framework as well as Sprint Framework
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient at using SharePoint
  • Knowledge of FHIR, REST and web services APIs
  • Knowledge of SQL and clinical data analysis
  • Skilled in facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $87,900 to $156,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
