Job Summary:
We are looking for a DevOps engineer with deep experience administering Kubernetes environments and securing containerized workloads. We support a variety of clients who are using Kubernetes and the latest cloud technologies in the CNCF ecosystem. You will be working with fantastic teams on exciting software projects utilizing containers to deploy highly available applications.
The Security DevOps Engineer is responsible for:
Hardening containers (using universal base image, static code analysis, etc).
Having deep experience with securing Kubernetes workloads at the pod and cluster level.
Deploying cloud-native applications and monitoring and supporting a Kubernetes environment.
Requirements
Essential Functions:
Researching opportunities for automation, troubleshooting issues as reported by users.
Mentoring junior team members in best practices.
Collaborate with other members of the IT team using tools like GIT to promote security, efficiency, and scalability of core services and capabilities.
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
A Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) is a plus.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Production Kubernetes Experience
Highly experienced with Docker & Containers
Deep experience with hardening containers and Kubernetes clusters
Experience with CIS benchmarks for Docker and Kubernetes
Top notch Linux skills
General DevOps experience a plus
Strong experience with Windows, Linux, or Unix system administration, as well as solid skills with orchestration platforms, such as ECS, Kubernetes, or Mesos.
Knowledge of SQL databases and basic coding skills in Python, Go, Java or a similar language are all desirable, as is experience with micro-services architectures.
