Robert Half is looking to hire an experienced Security DevOps engineer to be a part of our Security Development Team. The Security DevOps engineer works closely with our security engineers, security architects, and project managers to develop, manage, and maintain applications and infrastructure.
We are looking for someone who is energetic self-starter with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and has the passion to learn new technologies. In this role you will work with changing requirements as the security landscape shifts. A strong candidate will have the passion to keep up with security trends and development best practices, as well as exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills to provide recommendations and solutions. This role is available as a remote position.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Robert Half is looking to hire an experienced Security DevOps engineer to be a part of our Security Development Team. The Security DevOps engineer works closely with our security engineers, security architects, and project managers to develop, manage, and maintain applications and infrastructure.

In this role you will work with changing requirements as the security landscape shifts. A strong candidate will have the passion to keep up with security trends and development best practices, as well as exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills to provide recommendations and solutions. This role is available as a remote position.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Completing code and script updates, as well as resolving implementation errors
- Meeting with project managers to identify requirements for development projects
- Writing up supporting documentation for code and standards
- Monitor and provide metrics on security and solution performance
- Participate in discovery, design, and maintenance discussions to provide input and recommendations
- Work with third party vendors on troubleshooting platform specific issues
- Proactively identify security issues and provide recommended remediation steps
- Troubleshoot source code management and deployment issues
- Moderate experience reading, writing, and updating python code and scripts
- Development experience using a version control system (git preferred)
- Solid understanding of Amazon Web Services (ECS, IAM, Compute, S3)
- Experience with Kafka (Amazon MSK) and Logstash
- Experience designing integrations with various systems
- Understanding of syslog and it's limitations
- Perform design reviews and provide recommendations
- Familiarity with hosting solutions from vendors such as Amazon, Microsoft, and/or IBM
- Strong knowledge of development best practices including expertise in automation and security
- Moderate understanding of networking design concepts
- Ability to work through ambiguity and deal with shifting priorities
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Experience writing infrastructure as code
- Docker container experience
- 5+ years experience provisioning, operating, and managing cloud environments
- Experience working in Azure (Storage, Compute, Functions, Policy, and Configuration)
- Proficiency in multiple programming or scripting languages (Ex. Ruby, Python, C#, PowerShell, JavaScript)
- Any technical certifications are desirable (AWS preferred)
- Familiarity with agile development process and best practices
