Senior Application Consultant (Software Developer)
Chantilly VA / REMOTE
Marathon TS is currently seeking a Senior Application Consultant with experience in implementing enterprise software solutions and developing custom integration solutions. The candidate for this position will implement, test, document and maintain Software interfaces deployed on premise or in the cloud. This will also include leveraging a company proprietary integration toolkit to develop solutions that integrate disparate systems.
Job Qualifications
- Proficient in several programming languages such as Python, C#, or Java.
- Experience supporting or developing web-based applications.
- Good API development experience.
- Ability to perform consulting on Web Server administration.
- Ability to perform consulting on SQL server database administration.
- Experience with NodeJS is a plus.
- Experience in Agile software development is a plus.
- Exposure to version control systems like Git, Azure DevOps is a plus.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree with 8 or more years of applicable experience, or equivalent applicable experience.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with little supervision and guidance required.
- Ability to investigate problems or malfunctions and recommend solutions or corrective actions.
- Ability to make use of provided resources and seek guidance as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to keep abreast of changing software technology.
- Ability to work directly with peers/customers in solving hardware/software problems.
- Ability to translate technical terminology into simple language and concepts.
- Security+ CE certification (preferred) or must be obtained with 6 months of hire date.
- Current DoD Secret security clearance (preferred) or must be able to obtain.
- Must be able to travel as needed to customer sites (Approximately 15% average travel for 1-2 weeks at a time).
