Position Purpose and Objectives:
Work with key stakeholders across different business areas to gather requirements and develop reporting solutions for data driven business decision making. Responsible for the maintenance and oversight of data structures, data warehousing, and repositories, as well executing queries for data requests and presenting information through reports and visualization. This role works closely with other information technology specialists within the organization to ensure data structures are optimized and data is seamlessly integrated into the organization's larger information technology network such that the data are readily available.

Position Purpose and Objectives:
Work with key stakeholders across different business areas to gather requirements and develop reporting solutions for data driven business decision making. Responsible for the maintenance and oversight of data structures, data warehousing, and repositories, as well executing queries for data requests and presenting information through reports and visualization. This role works closely with other information technology specialists within the organization to ensure data structures are optimized and data is seamlessly integrated into the organization's larger information technology network such that the data are readily available.
Major Duties and Essential Functions:
- Work with business stakeholders to document business requirements and translate into technical tasks.
- Transform requirements into actionable reports and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI.
- Support and maintain Power BI environment, optimize performance of various MS BI objects.
- Design and develop ETL processes for the data warehouse.
- Manage data loads, security and integration of the data warehouse platform for BI reporting.
- Troubleshoot and fix data loads and other issues in the data warehouse.
- Monitor report and job response times and as needed make performance enhancements to reduce run time.
- Support BI tools and database updates through development, testing, debugging and documentation.
- Support enterprise-wide business intelligence applications and architecture and identify potential solutions to enhance existing architecture.
- Maintain API integrations on MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform.
- Maintain MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform instances (dev, pre-prod, prod) and perform updates when released.
- Maintain database systems including but not limited to functional capability, migration, backup, security, recovery, load balancing.
- Manage BI Development resources.
- Monitor team assignments for completion and accuracy and ensure deadlines are met.
- Effectively communicate task and project status and escalate to management as necessary.
- Work on an agile team that uses the scrum framework for managing workload.
- Maintain updated knowledge of industry changes in technology.
Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position:
- Ability to design, build and maintain APIs and integrations using MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform a plus.
- Experience developing WSDL files to interact with systems using MuleSoft.
- Experience creating reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
- SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) frameworks.
- Designing and developing SQL server integration service packages using Visual Studio.
- Knowledgeable in database management, loading and optimization of data.
- Coding skills such as VB and C# a plus.
- Strong data and systems analysis experience reviewing multiple system integration and / or data feeds.
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and promote a positive attitude toward teamwork.
- Ability to execute multiple complex projects within required timelines and expectations.
- Knowledgeable in software development lifecycles / methodologies (i.e. agile).
- Experience with development operations within a multi-org, multiple workstream environment, Azure DevOps a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- 7+ years of experience within business intelligence or data analysis.
- Writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures and functions for data retrieval.
- Data warehousing, reporting services, ETL, analysis service, modeling and mining.
- Designing, building and maintaining API integrations.
- Experience with the Microsoft SQL Server BI Stack (SQL Server, RDMS, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI Desktop, Power BI Pro, Power BI Report Server).
