We’re looking for someone who:
- Embodies BombBomb’s core values: Relationships, Fun, Humility, Flexibility and Service.
- Believes that relationships underpin everything we do. You proactively build relationships and trust, knowing that influence, growth, and success flow from that foundation.
- Exercises excellent judgement. You proactively balance short term needs and long term success. You are self-aware in evaluating if what you're making is good, and when to ask for help.
- Cultivates deep understanding, both in our technologies and systems, as well as industry trends and best practices. You know that there is always more to learn and another perspective to consider. You approach your work and colleagues with curiosity and empathy. Part of learning is being able to reflect, admit when you're wrong, repair and try again.
- Takes pride and ownership in their work. You proactively find ways to improve our systems and serve our teams. You are tenacious and willing to go the distance to get something done. You care about and can manage the important details.
What you will do...
- Build relationships with the members of the product development teams. That’s the foundation from which you’ll lead, influence and have impact.
- Balance supporting the short term needs of the product development teams (access, blockers, troubleshooting, infrastructure, consultation) with the long term initiatives of the core team. Sometimes that means saying no. Sometimes that means choosing an option that incurs technical debt to remain focused on higher priority efforts. Sometimes that means taking time to wrestle with the right way to go.
- Become an expert on our platform and tools, bringing your ideas and effort to help us minimize toil and help our Product Development Teams be successful over the long term. This will take some time.
- Take projects from inception to completion managing all the nitty gritty details. You'll break down your work into the next right steps that you’ll continuously validate, learn from, adjust and ship. The goal is to minimize risk while maximizing learning and impact.
- Troubleshoot complex systems, following leads between servers, networks, services, and application code.

- Experience with creating and managing infrastructure in Terraform (or other IaC)
- Understanding of how Containers and Kubernetes work
- Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tooling with a goal of building rapid feedback loops
- Experience with Observability platforms, such as New Relic or Data Dog
