The Ariel Shared team at LifeWorks is a dynamic group within Admin Solutions IT responsible for developing web portal solutions for our Health & Welfare and Pension benefits administration clients. Our Employer, Administration, and Member portals serve dozens of large and complex clients and the client’s employees enabling them to manage their benefits. Role & Responsibilities:
- Promote good engineering practices within development teams, including effective engineering estimation, decision making, and risk management.
- Collaborate with internal and external, technical, and non-technical teams to build and support development platforms.
- Improve and build tooling for build and deploy processes, automated testing, and security in line with DevOps best practices and standards.
- Contribute to Infrastructure and application architectural design patterns.
- Implement and improve monitoring and operational tools and processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in LifeWorks deployment environments.
- Carry out incident response processes with thorough incident reviews and post-mortem analysis to share understanding and capture activities capable of mitigating future occurrence.
- Refactor, simplify and maintain deployment and build pipelines.
- Find opportunities to improve deployment setup, configuration, and deployment lifecycle.
- Find ways to ensure all deployment environments are consistent.
- Participate as a member of an Agile team.
- Solid understanding of .NET web applications, services hosted in IIS on windows server virtual machines
- Experience with GIT / Azure DevOps Pipeline management
- Strong Experience with Octopus Deploy Pipeline management
- Strong Knowledge Powershell and Cake scripting
- Experience with converting deployment pipeline to Docker Containers
- Experience with TerraForm templating tools or equivalent
- Strong Ability to refactor and re-organize deployment scripts for simplicity
- Strong communication skills and a desire to work autonomously/independently
- Experienced on how to design applications for observability and reliability
- Software development experience in C# with working knowledge of developing dotnet Core applications
- Good networking and data storage knowledge with T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong knowledge of how to deploy sequential DB Scripts across environments
- Experience with Tenanted, Multi-tenant and mixed client deployment setups.
- Strong desire to improve and streamline processes within the development process
- 6 to 8 years IT experience
- At least 5 years DevOps Production experience
- 3+ years experience working on .Net platforms
- Elastic Search / ELK stack
- Azure
