Job Description
The Senior DevOps Engineer will contribute to large-scale system architecture, perform
troubleshooting, and contribute to maintenance duties. Influencing new designs, the evolution of the company’s cloud-based architecture, as well as evolving automation processes are essential success factors of this position. The Senior DevOps Engineer will work directly with
development and operations teams to solve operational issues and create tools, processes, and systems that improve our customer’s overall operational reliability and resilience. The successful candidate will be articulate, persuasive and have the ability to think clearly and quickly under pressure. The right individual for this role will be detail oriented and comfortable balancing multiple projects.

Job Description
The Senior DevOps Engineer will contribute to large-scale system architecture, perform

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help keep the development team moving through automation with the future goal of push- button, ceremony-free, continuous delivery
- Production support responsibilities for software and infrastructure fixes
- Work with software, infrastructure, network engineers and DBAs to solve productivity challenges, drive efficiency, automate and streamline environment builds
- Co-own (with teams) monitoring & alert configuration to detect, triage, and resolve issues quickly
- Help build tools to enhance production triage and improve time to detect issues (eg, alerts, incident runbooks)
- Reduce toil through automation of commonly occurring manual operations or incident resolution tasks
- Establish Service Level Objectives and Error budgets to optimize the balance between reliability and rapid innovation
- Participate in on-call rotation and take charge of escalated outages and perform root cause analysis
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
- Experience with build and deployment automation tools, such as Jenkins and Octopus
- Experience with system programming languages, such as PowerShell and Bash
- Experience with web application server technologies, such as IIS or Nginx
- Experience with public cloud providers, such as Azure and AWS
- Experience with containerization and orchestration, preferably Docker/Kubernetes
- Familiarity with the Microsoft .NET stack (ASP.NET, C#, etc.)
- Familiarity with MSSQL, NoSQL
- Familiarity with Node, NPM
- Familiarity with Tableau, Elastic, Kibana, DACPAC, and Postgres preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with distributed event streaming platforms, such as Kafka.
- Desire to work in a fast paced, evolving, growing, and dynamic environment
- Desire to learn new technologies to continuously improve and evolve the operations ecosystem
