Job Description
What are we looking for in you?
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a part of a smart cross-functional team delivering digital business transformation solutions to our clients. You’ll have the unique opportunity to increase the engineering team productivity by hunting and solving opportunities within the products of some of the world’s largest clients. You’ll be instrumental in helping our engineering teams to deliver customer features faster by identifying opportunities to automate.
Do you have the following?
- Build, test, and administer highly available container application platform clusters (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, Docker Datacenter, etc.)
- Champion security by injecting it into the existing development workflow and every stage of software development, ensuring the entire infrastructure is secure
- Identify normal routines and repeatable tasks that are candidates for automation, and then create and support the deployment of automation using CloudFormation or Ansible
- Work within complex software systems to isolate defects, reproduce defects, assess risk, and understand varied customer deployments
- Assist application teams with onboarding to container application platforms in areas such as resource requirements, capacity analysis, and troubleshooting support
- AWS provisioning, configuration management, storage management, network management, and virtualization
- Create CI/CD pipeline to support the project engineering team
- Developing and improving standards for security (via security as code) across a continuous delivery environment and cloud-based production deployments
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to other team members on DevOps best practice
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Legal Permanent Resident
- Eligible for U.S. Government Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
Nice to have
- AWS Certified, preferably AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
- Have written scripts or built applications in Python/Ruby/Bash
- Experience with both Static and Dynamic Application Security Testing methodologies and tools (Nessus, ZAP)
- Strong understanding of security concepts, best practices and how to apply them, such as SSH, public key encryption, access credentials, certificates, TLS, data encryption
- Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and deployment of containerized applications/microservices architectures
- Demonstrated skill with at least one or more configuration management/scripting technology (such as Ansible/Chef/Puppet)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube or comparable substitutes, and building automated pipelines
- 3+ years’ experience developing software or scripting with Java, JavaScript, Python or UNIX shell
- Experience with infrastructure as code / orchestration of Cloud infrastructure
- Experience with software security, secure coding, or software assurance tools and techniques
- Experience working in an agile environment, such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
- Source control experience (such as GitHub, BitBucket)
- Demonstrated ability to explain technical issues clearly/accurately to technical/non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team with adjusting priorities and deadlines
