NGMS is seeking Senior Principal Embedded DevOps Engineers with the desire to learn new technologies to join our innovative Software & Digital Technologies Organization to help inject efficiency, automation, and scalability into our embedded development process on cutting edge solutions; delivering reliable, secure systems to the war-fighter.
As a Senior Principal Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. Through the use of DevSecOps, Agile, and Model-Based Engineering practices we continue to evolve how we deliver critical national defense products and capabilities for the warfighter. This position is located in Linthicum, MD.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) degree.
A minimum of 9 years of experience in a related industry (7 years with MS, 4 years with PhD)
Significant proficiency with successfully implementing DevOps in highly-complex environments (continuous integration, continuous testing, continuous deployment, continuous monitoring, etc.)
Embedded software and/or firmware programming experience (C/C++/VHDL/RTL/etc.)
Experience with Linux-based systems
Experience with full development lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, and maintenance
Candidates must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance at the Secret level prior to starting employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Secret clearance (or higher)
Domain knowledge with Radar, Electronic Warfare, or Space technologies
Experience with embedded development on real-time systems
Experience with Jenkins
Experience with Git-based Configuration Management
Experience with Agile/DevOps Toolset (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Experience with Model-based engineering
Experience with industry security and hardening best-practices
Experience with Static Code and Security Analysis Tools (e.g. Sonarqube, Coverity, Fortify)
Salary Range: $119,800.00 - $179,600.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
