Our client is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer join their growing and dynamic team at their Devens, MA location.
We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer with 5+ years of Microsoft .Net experience and a strong passion for building great software to join our growing Engineering team. In this role you will be responsible for building out Quiet's Microsoft Azure hosted software platform. The core software stack is comprised of our Warehouse Management System (WMS), public facing websites and APIs, and our Data Platform. You will be working in a Scrum environment so a commitment to collaborative teamwork is essential.
Responsibilities:
· Participate in all phases of our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
· Ability to take ownership of a project and execute it with excellence.
· Translate requirements into high-quality, testable, scalable software.
· Identify performance issues and bugs, and devise solutions to these issues.
· Participate in team code reviews and design discussions.
· Be a team player and collaborate with and train others in the organization as needed.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
· Proficiency in C# and Microsoft .Net is required. (.NET Core experience is a plus)
· Significant backend web development experience using MVC or WEB API
· Hands-on experience in designing and developing high-volume SOAP or REST APIs
· Proficiency in building database-driven applications using SQL Server, Entity Framework or is required
· Familiarity with design and architectural patterns to build scalable, maintainable, and testable software
· Relational database experience including schema design, writing SQL queries, and SQL tuning concepts is required
· A strong understanding of object-oriented concepts is required
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
· Experience working with any WMS platform is a big plus
· Microsoft Azure or other Cloud experience is a plus
· Understanding of software security and best practices
· Frontend development experience with JAVASCRIPT, CSS, HTML is a plus
· Azure Devops or other Build Server experience is a plus
