Job Description:
GDIT is looking for a Systems Analyst to conducts maintenance patching (monthly): Linux servers w/ Red Hat Satellite.
Uses Ansible Tower, Visual studio code, & Atlassian Bitbucket to launch YAML scripts to automate tasks for Linux servers.
Uses (daily) Atlassian apps: Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Crowd, Fisheye.
Migrates Windows task scheduler batch jobs to Linux version that includes shell scripts being initiated by cronjobs.
Works w/ Java developers to perform maintenance & operations in Dev, Test, Staging, & Prod environments to USTP web applications.
Installs & configures Adobe’s AEM & workbench on new barcode & receipt processing server, & installs & configures SAP’s 360 Suite on new server for BI team.
Monitors/fosters communication: multiple clients & servers.
Engages in Dev-Ops task to design server logs for Java developers.
Practices government compliance by being well informed w/ latest technology based on NIST rules & regulations: attends Atlassian App conferences, & updates documents on Confluence/wiki pages.
Completes basic automation architecture and Linux administration tasks.
Uses Microsoft Teams for meetings to conduct meetings & deliver updates to team members.
Collects & analyzes complex information from system users & formulates scope, objectives & solutions for systems needs w/ limited supervision.
Prepares moderately complex flow charts, models, and procedures along with conducting feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
Conducts advanced form design and layout activities with limited guidance from manager.
Performs preparation of systems specifications.
Under limited supervision, prepare and maintain technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of systems.
Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May provide guidance to less-experienced personnel.
Performs detailed analysis and systems design.
May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience
