We're looking for someone experienced in AWS for a full time direct hire opportunity as a Server Engineer for our client in Plano. They offer visa sponsorships!
Here's what you'll do:
• Work directly with customer, serving as a technical expert and a liaison to the local development team.
• Understand the system architecture and functionality of server driven navigation platform. Collaborate with local customers to design and define technical specifications which will be used to customize global navigation platform for the local market.
• Attend daily customer meetings to discuss topics ranging from high level operational process flows to low level technical requirements.
• Provide operational support including cloud monitoring and server application troubleshooting.
Required Skills and Experience
• 3+ years in a software development or technical engineering role
• 1+ years of technical experience with client-server, server-server architectures, and underlying infrastructure
• 1+ years of direct customer technical support experience
• Self-motivated with the organization skills required to bring structure and focus to meetings and workgroup sessions
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
• Fundamental understanding of AWS service offerings such as EC2, VPC, RDS, DynamoDB, EKS, ECS, Fargate, S3, IAM, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, Lambda, Elasticache
• Hands-on experience with log management and monitoring services such as Datadog, ELK, CloudWatch
• Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
• Ability to comprehend the functions and capabilities of new cloud technologies
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM development environments
"nice to have" Skills and Experience- but not a deal-breaker if you don't have them!
• AWS Certification(s)
• AWS DevOps experience with automated configurations and deployments
• Hands-on experience with REST API automation and load testing tools
• Working knowledge of load balancing and auto scaling real time applications
• Familiarity with security protocols and principles such as HTTPs, SSL, TLS, certificates, token-based authentication, key management
• Project Management Experience

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
