Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Systems is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Engineer, DevOps candidate for our Dulles, VA or Gilbert, AZ location. In some cases, remote candidates will be considered as well.

This position will support Tactical Space Systems Division in their development and deployment of satellite ground software to customer resources. The selected candidate will support DevOps system administration of multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in an Agile /DevOps environment for a critical customer program.

  • We are working with leading DevOps practices and tooling (Hashicorp Tools, Gitlab, Bitbucket, Jenkins).
  • Come learn to use a private cloud with OpenStack and VMWare. Help support multiple customers on the product line.
  • DevOps / Admins / Developers / SRE: even if you have ever wanted to automate, this team is for you!
Basic Qualifications:
  • BS in related field with 2 years of experience in Software Development, Systems Administration, or DevOps; or MS in related field
  • Must be a US Citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Linux / Python
  • Experience with OpenStack
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps principals
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience with Ansible
  • Agile methodology experience
  • Experience in Shell scripting – bash, ruby, perl
  • Experience with automation
  • Experience with GIT / Gitlab - CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification
Salary Range: $81,700.00 - $122,500.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
