Manager IT Development
Summary of Position:
This position is responsible for managing all new development and maintenance/troubleshooting of the Sterling 7 API's and Application.
The following are overall responsibilities of the position:
• Primary responsibilities are to oversee delivery of technology solutions by partnering across lines of business, operations & enterprise partners
• Manages Technical Team within budget and project schedule.
• Manage various efforts within Sterling7 team, providing innovative ideas and collaboration for development and delivery
• Manage applications, manage new projects and working with Business / Operations partners to ensure stability of applications
• Provide technical direction and mentoring to Team.
• Keep abreast of technological developments and new products. Assist in supporting new software releases.
• Recommend alternative approaches, considering application functionality and business requirements on new offerings
• Maintain and upgrade departmental processes and procedures
• On-Call weekend support and rotation
• Direct supervision and guidance to include but not limited to career development, goal setting, review feedback, and conflict resolution
• Development, maintenance, and adherence of service level agreements
• Experience working with Java, J2EE and SQL Database systems preferably Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of Object-oriented Analysis and Design (OOA and OOD).
• Good working knowledge on Enterprise Class structure, security models, and service interfaces
• Good knowledge of Agile Development and DevOps model using JIRA / Jenkins.
• Ability to Analyze logs, Debug and Troubleshoot issues as well as analyze and resolve slow performance issues.
• Experience working with PEGA Systems applications is a plus.

• Must have strong Java, SQL skills
• Must have programming / Data Modeling experience

• Preferred Telecommunications Experience.
• Preferred Four Year degree with emphasis in Computer Science.
