About the Role:
The Software Engineer I position will be working in a fun, challenging, fast-paced environment using Scrum methodologies to deliver solutions used to drive monitoring solutions on Windstream’s vast network and technologies. This is an opportunity to be a driving force in our Network Management System team. We are looking for a highly motivated person to provide support on monitoring of Windstream’s customer network and integrating this solution with internal support systems. The job candidate will need experience with networking, SQL, and Linux command line tools to be proficient in this role. This position demands a self-starter who is comfortable engaging business partners, architects, and developers to achieve goals and working across functional groups within the Windstream environments.

Job Responsibilities:
- Working in Sprints to deliver solutions to business owners
- Designing solutions with application architects
- Manage projects to completion through coordination of cross-functional groups
- Manage work through Scrum tools/methodology, collaborative repositories, issue tracking platforms, and wikis
- Provide timely status as requested by supervisor
- Other reasonably related duties may be assigned
- Experience in software development and planning
- Basic Networking
- Basic Scrum methodology
- Proficiency in SQL
- Proficiency in Python, Java, PHP, Perl, or any other scripting language
- Linux Sysadmin experience.
- Drive to succeed and improve personally to add value to the role, team, and company

- Good team player and communicator
- Highly organized and meticulous
- Does require some on call rotation
- Full Stack Web Development
- Experience with relational databases such as: Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, and DB2
- Networking understanding
- Basic Telecommunications experience
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Ensuring the quality of applications through unit testing.
- Experience with use of and/or development against some or all the following platforms.
- Azure DevOps
- Confluence
- Gitlab
