We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Sr. Software Engineer. This can be a 100% remote opportunity.



This Sr. Software Engineer and developer of data management processes, including related software and technical stack. As lead data engineer, this position will be relied upon for guidance and direction for key technical decisions in standing up and managing data ingest, organization, workflow management, flow orchestration and data delivery to the business. This is a lead technical devops role and encompasses code design, development, deployment and operational support.



Responsibilities

  • Implement AWS cloud-based data hosting solutions and set up infrastructure for moving large volume of data across workspaces.
  • Conduct Architectural analysis, build blueprints, Data/process flow diagrams and write technical use cases.
  • Work on DevOps processes and tools supporting agile application development teams leading to continuous integration, test, and deploy methods.
  • Build Data pipelines and manage Data acquisition, Transformation, Catalog and modeling in Data Lake.
  • Performance testing /tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting Infrastructure for optimal efficiency.
  • Assist with application integration and troubleshooting in this Infrastructure for a complex application environment, including management of dependencies on services, platforms, and other applications within the cloud Infrastructure.
  • Manage and maintain multiple environments, ensuring that these environments are properly setup, configured, available, and HIPAA compliant.
  • Implement AWS Security protocols (Data Protections, Governance, Audit trail) for data In-transit and at rest.
  • Ensure systems, containers, images and applications are patched and scanned for vulnerabilities
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with distributed/cross-functional teams to deliver high quality software solutions.
  • Coordinate with clinical and back-office dataset subject matter experts to coordinate and execute on data linkage and integration
  • Responsible for adhering to Information Security Policies and ensuring Envision is as secure as possible
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technology field is required.
  • Prior experience with medical data domain preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Consulting or client service delivery experience on Amazon AWS (AWS).
  • Experience driving cloud data migration projects and design, development and life cycle support for AWS workspaces across enterprise.
  • Experience with AWS Analytics and Data Lake AWS services, such as Amazon, Redshift, Elasticsearch, Amazon QuickSight, Amazon S3, AWS Lake Formation, Amazon EMR, Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Kinesis, etc.
  • Understanding of the financial costs of specific AWS offerings and ability to factor that into decision making when choosing services.
  • Demonstrate experience with data modeling and Tableau Dashboards.
  • Must have Devops and continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline exposure.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum software development.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud ETL processes - AWS Glue (ETL jobs, Apache Spark scripts), Amazon Athena, Postgres, Python & Parquet or similar third-party Data Management Platform experience.
  • Proficient in at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript, Python, GO, Groovy).
