Location: Santa Monica, CA (remote right now and once things open back up onsite 1x per week)

Software Engineer
Our client is rapidly growing looking to expand their team. This client has several cool projects, and each engineer can choose their place on where they fit in with these projects. The client is in the Data Analytics space. The ideal person will have workspace one experience. ● 2+ years of software development experience with customer-facing web applications (must be 2 solid years of experience, internships will not count)
● Capable of transforming wireframes and designs into intuitive user interfaces that enhance the customer experience
● Strong understanding of UX principles/best practices and Responsive Web Design patterns
● High degree of fluency in JavaScript – you are a strong coder and know how to write clean, effective code at scale
● Well-versed in discussing complex system architectures, moving between different layers of abstraction, and making informed decisions on reliability and scalability
● Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
● Desire to learn, promote open communication, and work effectively with minimal supervision
Must-have experience
○ UI/UX design
○ Contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems
○ Writing robust, maintainable unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
○ Experience with git, npm, Angular, TypeScript, RxJS and SCSS ○ Consuming server side APIs using REST and GraphQL
○ Writing standards-compliant, accessible markup and styling
Bonus experience
○ Familiarity with DevOps best practices and/or CI/CD systems
○ Prior experience with online transactions and/or payment systems
○ Comfortable working with MySQL and database querie
