The Digital Technology team within Commercial Lending and Banking Technology is seeking a full stack Java/J2EE Software Engineer to support our customer facing applications. The candidate will provide application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs for CEO Trade. This Software Engineer will act as a tech lead, providing technical guidance and consultation with application teams, clients, and Engineering Managers for their technology domain environments including but not limited to cloud, middleware, operating systems, applications, Software-as-a-Service, and Platform-as-a-Service products.
The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, coding, testing, debugging and document programs using Agile development practices. They will be providing the strategy and design for projects associated with their technology domain including, upgrades and deployments. Utilizing advanced technologies and methods to integrate their technology domain with other technology domains, enabling the creation of new or expanded heterogeneous environments.
Responsibilities also include, developing new documentation and departmental technical procedures. Directs the gathering of performance statistics to assist in determining hardware and communication tools needed to support projected transaction volumes, response time and system availability targets. As an escalation point, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of highly complex technical problems. Leads projects and manages the work of less experienced staff. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported technology domain. Leads projects and as an escalation point, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of highly complex technical problems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Develop and implement complex, integrated systems and enhancements in designated programming languages and database environments
Complete unit and system/integration testing
Co-ordinates with systems partners outside the group and oversees contractors on projects.
Responsible for implementing DevOps, CI/CD practices and tools such as UDeploy, Jenkins, Gradle or Maven and PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) environment.
Participate in production support/releases as required.

This position can be based at the Wells Fargo site location in Charlotte, NC.

Required Qualifications
5+ years of software engineering experience
5 + years of J2EE experience
3+ years of experience with Spring, Spring Batch, and Spring Boot
3+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
3+ years of MQ Series Messaging experience
3+ years of Oracle experience
Desired Qualifications
An industry-standard technology certification
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Other Desired Qualifications
3+ years of Hibernate experience
1+ year of Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) experience
1+ year of Agile experience
Knowledge and understanding of Selenium software testing framework
3+ years of WF RIA and/or internal web framework “Propellent”
3+ years of experience with Eclipse IDE, FileNet, SWIFT, XSD, JBoss Server, HP ALM
1+ years of GitHub, Jenkins and uDeploy experience
Previous trade finance experience
Linux scripting experience
Thorough understanding of unit test framework like Junit, Mockito and ability to adopt TDD.
