We’re looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to help us evolve our data exploration and data science platforms. What you’ll do:
- Lead the development of our automation platform and cloud infrastructure in AWS.
- Develop and automate solutions to facilitate product and platform upgrades.
- Expand on the standards used for automating deployments and CI/CD processes.
- Use solid agile and DevOps methodologies, including test-driven development, infrastructure as code, and continuous integration and deployment.
- Support cloud servers including security configurations, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Help to evolve and grow our DevOps practices across the organization.
- Able to see a problem from all sides and quickly narrow down potential solutions
- Fosters technical excellence in others and by sharing your knowledge and experience
- Well-versed in cloud security best practices across networking, applications, databases and other cloud services.
- Able to mentor and train others in cloud technology and engineering best practices
- Able to define and prioritize multiple technical projects
- B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience with AWS, preferably as a DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect.
- Experience with large project implementations using Lambda, AWS EC2, ELB, S3, CloudFormation, IAM and/or ECS.
- Proficient with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Terraform, or other.
- Experience working with networking and database technologies like Databricks, Postgres, Redshift, DynamoDB, VPC, etc.
- Big data experience is a plus.
