Responsible for designing, implementing and testing the automation of infrastructure and processes. These individuals are proficient in concepts such as infrastructure-as-code, deployment orchestration and application tooling. There will be specialization in specific areas, such as processes, e.g. CI/CD, or specific platforms, e.g. Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud. These individuals should be well versed in modern agile delivery concepts such as Kanban, Scrum, etc.
