You will be joining an existing team of Devops Engineers who are an integral part of our software engineering organization. We are an automation-focused team who would rather be writing Kubernetes jobs or Terraform than tunneling into a Linux instance to see how it's feeling. In a typical day members of our team are hands on with everything from the production infrastructure to our CI/CD pipelines. We collectively strive to build and maintain a rapid-feedback platform that enables our engineers to accomplish their own goals instead of creating friction.

What you'll be doing
- Linux systems administration
- Scripting in Python, Golang, or Bash
- AWS administration with a strong understanding of IAM roles and policies
- Kubernetes and Istio administration
- Kafka administration
- Managing production infrastructure with IAC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, etc.).
- Deploying containerized applications
- CI/CD tools, automation, management, and processes
- Monitoring, Logging, and Tracing experience (Prometheus/Thanos, ELK/Loki, Jaeger/Opentracing)
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation (1 week on, 4 weeks off)
- Understanding complex distributed systems
- Focusing on the end goal rather than getting stuck in the implementation
- Finding creative data-driven solutions to difficult problems
- Moderate understanding of Layer 7/4/3 protocols
- Database administration experience
- Network administration experience
- Software development experience
- DevSecOps/Security operations experience
- Experience working in a highly-regulated industry
