Job Description
Mirantis is adding a Sr. Full Stack Web Developer to our team! Mirantis’ Training department is looking for an experienced web developer to serve as engineering lead for its backend and partner-facing systems. You will be responsible for translating high-level business needs and usecases provided by the department director into iteration and implementation plans, making leading technical contributions to those plans and products, and coordinating the contributions of intermediate developers on your team.
The systems you will be responsible for serve our global network of training partners and customers, and provide the e-commerce backbone of Mirantis’ large training business. Therefore, in addition to delivering feature work, we expect a suitable applicant for this position to be enthusiastic and thorough when designing tests, continuous integration pipelines and QA procedures for all Training team projects, to ensure reliability and quality.
Main Responsibilities
Lead development, planning and bug triage of all Mirantis Training’s systems engineering projects, including but not limited to:
Mirantis Training’s public and partner facing training scheduling web application
Infrastructure for delivering and grading the Certified OpenStack Administrator exam
Third party integrations between Training systems backends and other tools like Salesforce, learning management systems, and lab platform providers.
Help maintain testing, QA and continuous integration pipelines for all projects
Coordinate contributions of more intermediate developers on all projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or similar field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years experience as an engineering project lead, including coordination of contributions from a team of developers.
5+ years experience developing web applications, particularly using React, Express, and MongoDB.
Core technology experience (4+ years experience in each preferred):
Languages: Python, JavaScript, bash scripting
Continuous integration pipelines, especially using Jenkins
GitHub-based version control
Docker containers & Kubernetes
