Starting in January 2022 we are looking for a Principal Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with deep experience building and implementing software to improve the stability and reliability of systems and services.
You’ll have a unique opportunity to advance SRE practices and training within an organization transitioning to a Full Cycle Development model.
Our team is both developing and integrating large-scale automation and deployment technologies to provide stable platform with monitoring/logging capabilities upon which a large portfolio of HERE's data processing pipelines and content delivery services will run.

Who are you?
- Degree in Computing Science or equivalent
- 15+ years experience in relevant software development and technology industry with a service operations background supporting high availability 24x7x365 environments
- Configuring and using Open-Source monitoring and trending systems: Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentd, Splunk
- Building and maintaining highly available systems on Kubernetes, Docker or related cloud deployment technologies in AWS/Azure
- Continuous Integration as a principle, as well as CI tools such as GitLab, Jenkins or GoCD
- SecOps collaboration
- scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash shell, etc)
- Strong programming skills with 7+ of experience; Java, Scala, Golang, C/C++
- Experience with AWS with a focus on DevOps Engineering
- Trouble shooting distributed applications
- Agile development of software and infrastructure
- Continuous integration and automated testing of developed code with continuous delivery to production
- Investigation and root cause analysis of software and system defects
- Evaluation and documentation of standard tool sets.
- Identifying and providing solutions for common needs across stakeholders
- Working with end users and incorporating feedback into automation and stability
- Engaging with development team, teaching operational best practices and standards
- Ensuring code compliance against functional and non-functional requirements
- Support internal & external customers and participate in the 24x7 on-call rotation
- Mentor and train team members
