The Sr. Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Analyst is responsible for leading QA strategy and approach for business application development projects. The Sr. SQA Analyst will work closely with a Solution Architect, Business Analyst, Developer and Project Manager on a cross-functional technical team. The Sr. SQA Analyst will lead, execute, track and review the testing activities for each project. This position also involves assuming ownership and responsibility for the build-out of a QA testing environment including the selection, maintenance and improvement of testing solutions.

The Sr. Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Analyst is responsible for leading QA strategy and approach for business application development projects. The Sr. SQA Analyst will lead, execute, track and review the testing activities for each project. This position also involves assuming ownership and responsibility for the build-out of a QA testing environment including the selection, maintenance and improvement of testing solutions.
You will be responsible for:
- Participate in development project requirement reviews with Business Analyst, Solution Architect and Developer.
- Create and maintain comprehensive test procedures for custom developed applications using business/functional requirements and standards documentation.
- Plan, execute, and oversee QA testing for custom developed applications to identify bugs, validate bug resolutions, test-out enhancements and perform regression testing across entire application feature sets. Areas of testing include (but are not limited to) application installation, functionality, integration with other systems, and user interfaces.
- Coordinate with business end-users to execute user acceptance testing.
- Utilize defect-tracking tools to capture and report application defects and enhancement change requests.
- Analyze, comprehend and verify test metrics obtained from test procedures to summarize, communicate and present results/metrics to project team and leadership.

Technologies/Methodologies:
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Azure DevOps (specifically Boards and Test Plans) as well as familiarity with other similar DevOps tracking and testing solutions.
- Experience with relational database structures and design.
- Experience performing QA testing within an Agile development environment.
- Experience working with Postman and creating/configuring API test suites.
- Working knowledge of C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Python, VBA, VBScript, SQL, Java, JavaScript, HTML, XML, APIs (REST, RPC, SOAP), Web Services, MS Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, DAX).
- Working knowledge and experience with the Microsoft O365 platform, apps and services (Office, SharePoint, OneDrive, OneNote, Dynamics CRM, etc.)
- Familiarity with ETL Tools (i.e. Alteryx, KingswaySoft/SSIS, Inaport/MS CRM).
- Familiarity with Low-Code/No-Code Development Platforms (i.e. UiPath, MS Power Automate, Alteryx, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, etc.)
Certifications (at least one of the following):
- Certified Test Engineer (CSTE)
- Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)
- ISTQB Advanced Level (CTAL)
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information System, or a math related dripline.
- At least 5 years of experience working as a Software Quality Analyst.
- Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software testing solutions and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with project managers, developers, business analysts, consultants and business end-users.
- Ability to clearly articulate the vision for a testing process and create effective/concise documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning ability. Detail-oriented. Observational.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently and communicate effectively.
- Staying abreast of new testing technologies and actively participating in training to develop new skillsets.
- Experience working with geographically distributed team members.
- Work independently as a remote employee and effectively manage time to meet team and project deadlines.
