Staff Software Developer
New Iron is leading the search for a Staff Software Developer to join a team building data ETL workflows for a B2B SaaS product.
The ideal candidate has experience designing and writing well-written, reusable code while supporting production platforms.
We are looking for senior developers to work with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and QA Engineers and help troubleshoot significant problems.

Responsibilities may include:
Write clean, well-written, reusable code in an agile environment
Collaborate with Data Scientists and other professionals to design and ship products to production
Work on distributed learning systems, performance-critical GPU operations, and an interrelated suite of packages
Facilitate high-grade architecture based on modern software development practices
Find practical solutions utilizing modern tools and technologies
Develop and distribute standards and technologies to be utilized throughout the organization.
Distinguish significant opportunities to implement solutions across teams
Guide and mentor engineers and data scientists across a variety of technical challenges
Required:
5-7 years of relevant work experience
Advanced software development utilizing Python
Extensive experience with modern CI/CD (Jenkins, Azure Pipeline, etc)
Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms
Advanced experience designing, interconnecting, and deploying scalable production systems
Professional and teamwork-driven mentorship
Scrum, Agile, and collaboration practices
Experience with source control tools such as Git
Nice to Have:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Experience with Numpy, Pandas, Spark, Dask
Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
Experience with modern data development tools
Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
Familiarity with big data technologies
