Technology Services (TS) seeks Computer Science and Information Science majors with academic and/or work experience in programming/software development on premise or within a cloud environment.
The internship is the ideal opportunity to work in an environment where transformation and organization change management intersect with human resources, financial, and other technology systems. The applicant will support various TS initiatives and will be expected to have learned skills in managing solutions in Application Lifecycle Management tools such as Team Foundation Server (Azure DevOps), JIRA, or GitHub. The applicant should be familiar with the concepts around configuration management of source code controls, build management, and deployment strategy. The applicant should have knowledge in object-oriented programming language such as C#, VB.NET, Java and an understanding of relational database concepts. Prior experience with development and integration activities within cloud applications and/or mobile environments will provide the applicant an opportunity to support additional emerging cloud initiatives. Prior experience or ability to develop in SharePoint would provide the applicant with an opportunity to participate on SharePoint Office 365 initiatives. The applicant will participate in the development and maintenance of software application documentation and assist in design, develop, test, and debug activities. The applicant must be willing to learn how to apply business requirements to current systems functionality and demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills. The applicant must be motivated to develop career skills, which align with business and technology through people, process, and tools. Requires strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, excellent written and oral skills, and a customer centric approach.
This internship can be completed as a hybrid position including in-person and virtual work arrangements.
