This is what you'll do:
- Responsible for the reliability and uptime of manufacturing systems including Windows and Linux servers, VMware, AWS, IoT Devices and others.
- Troubleshooting issues with network connectivity, firewalls, switches, DNS, VLANs and others
- Participate in Incident Response at all levels
- Collaborate with remote and on-site team members across the company to build and maintain positive, productive relationships
- Consult in architectural discussions and decisions, initial roll out plans, and capacity planning and forecasting
- Provide hands on service for new technology to be rolled out to identify areas to streamline or automate
- Focus on SRE, DevOps, CI/CD, and Automation solutions with a eye toward using code and software to solve problems
- Will require occasional physical work in the facility including cabling, equipment replacement and the use of equipment such as lifts
- This position may require work outside of normal business hours including weekends and overnights
Details:
This is what you'll need:
- 3-5 years in a Software, SRE, DevOps, or Automation Engineering role or related IT Field
- Bachelor's is preferred for this position
- Experience with: AWS, Cloud Technology, Kubernetes, Code Development, Automation, Systems Administration, Networking
- Tech Savvy – Ability and passion for learning new technology and tools
- Passion for Customer Support – A drive to help end users get what they need to do their jobs the best they can. A sense of satisfaction from helping end users get what they need in a timely manner
- Prioritization Skills – The ability to analyze support requests, and prioritize them based on impact
- Discipline – The discipline to actively manage help desk tickets and internal IT tasks, without getting distracted by email, chat or other adhoc communication
- A Teacher – Able to teach end users about IT technologies or solutions to their issues in an easy to understand way
- Self-Starter – The ability to actively look for effective tasks to complete in times of low tickets
