This newly created position will help shape and transform the Sustained Engineering space and the business as usual support we provide to our Virtual Desktop users and support teams as they interact with their customers. As a Systems Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for managing/supporting the corporate desktop solutions, help develop new, and improve existing tools that have direct impact on our customers’ ability to achieve their internal goals.
Job Responsibilities:
• Incident /Problem / Change Management: Triage incidents, engage partner teams, provide status updates and facilitate business user communication & Root cause analysis.
• Monitoring / BCP & DR Support / Capacity Management / Audit and Compliance: Implement & revisit alerting configurations and customize thresholds as per business needs, plan / document & drive BCP & DR events, Participate in Audit activities and Capacity planning.
• Configure and/or support VMware suit of Horizon, UAG, DEM (Dynamic Environment Manager, VxRail, VMware SDDC /VCF, App Volumes, VROPS, VRA, HCPA (Hitachi Content Platform Anywhere)
• Implement Code First solutions using tools to support an SDDC / VCF / Horizon that describe and document solutions, complementing the maturation of a CI/CD pipeline.
• Develop, enhance, maintain automation solutions of existing VMware & Citrix environments with continuous process improvement SRE mindset.
Will have some responsibility acting as a software product owner for base components of the Wells Fargo end user compute platforms - managing the life cycle, patching, and configuration of the products as well as documentation requirements. Will be responsible for providing engineering level technical support for the end user compute platforms.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of systems support analysis experience demonstrated through work or military experience
- 3+ years of experience working in managed services as demonstrated through work, military, or education
- 5+ years of operating systems analysis experience, operating systems engineering experience, or a combination of both
- 4+ years of PAC2000 experience
- 4+ years of experience working with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Framework
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting an enterprise-level environment
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization; including management
- Strong team or technical leadership experience
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
- Strong attention to detail, including accuracy in grammar and a sharp focus on eliminating errors
- VM Ware experience
- Advanced Information Security technical skills and solid knowledge and understanding of information security practices and policies
Other Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years enterprise experience operating and supporting virtualization desktop and application virtualization technologies such as VMware Horizon and/or Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktop
- 5+ years supporting End User platforms and experience including operating systems, applications, virtual desktops, and remote access
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for Systems and liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Understands compliance and risk management requirements for supported system areas
- 5+ years experience in supporting large VDI infrastructure of technologies like VMware Horizon View, Citrix Xen Desktop, App Volumes, UEM / DEM, vIDM, FLEX, Citrix NetScaler’s / VMware UAG, Cisco / Pulse VPN’s, VSAN, VxRail, VCF, VROPS / VRA, NSX and Splunk etc.
- Experience with DevOps and Infrastructure-as-code tools preferred (ex. PowerShell, Ansible, Jenkins) with advanced knowledge on scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, .Net, Shell etc.
- Knowledge of SCCM, AppV (or MSIX or other similar app virtualization technologies), SQL 2K8/2012/16, SAN, Network Routers, Firewalls, Switches etc.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
