** NOTE: Must have a prior background in Azure DevOps/TFS Release Engineering (we are not an AWS environment). Also, must have prior experience as a Team Lead mentoring other Engineers.

Primary Purpose:
Serve as a key leader and expert on Development Operations best practices by leading the establishment and maturation of all DevOps internal practices to include Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and Continuous Delivery. Collaborates with software development teams in an effort to provide appropriately architected solutions that support all CI/CD initiatives.

- Design and employ enterprise level standardization across the DevOps team including, but not limited to, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Deployment, Orchestration and Build Automation engineering
- Lead engagements in an effort to improve DevOps environment management and footprint across all functional areas
- Present a diversified knowledge of various products across the DevOps spectrum (Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, MongoDB)
- Lead and influence the architectural design of features by determining quality and adhering to specifications.
- Provide support for production deployments, assist with troubleshooting issues
- Develop an understanding of the infrastructure footprint of existing .NET applications and utilize as a pattern for new solutions
- Work with software engineering and operational teams to ensure system designs are secure, scalable and reliable
- Review deployment and operational environments, i.e., execute initiatives to reduce failure, troubleshoot issues across the entire infrastructure stack
- Partner heavily with internal teams such as Application Development, Infrastructure, Database Administration and Quality Assurance
- Serve as a liaison between application development and infrastructure teams in the establishment of needed infrastructure for the development and subsequent support of application solutions
- Serve as the SME for software development lifecycle tools - tools that facilitate development, testing, monitoring, integration/release
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, patch, and upgrade software application products
- Participate in system performance tuning and technical troubleshooting sessions

- Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
- 4+ years of previous experience as a software architect, developer or engineer
- Experience leading technical teams in the resolution of business challenges
- Expert working knowledge of Azure DevOps Services (formerly VSTS) build and release pipelines
- Previous experience implementing automated deployments for .NET code, SQL schema (DacPac) including SQL Server Data Tools
- Knowledge of development concepts (REST, JSON, etc.)
- Strong automation skills and the ability to drive initiatives that automate antiquated processes
- Heavy hands-on experience working with GIT version control - branching, merging, pull requests
- Strong experience with scripting languages - preferably PowerShell
- Expert working knowledge of all phases of software development including design, coding, testing and implementation
- Solid knowledge of cloud architecture and hybrid cloud solutions
- Strong systems administration background in a variety of environments - Linux, Windows, virtualized, and cloud (Azure, etc.)
- Performs work with a high degree of latitude and handles the most complex issues
- Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group of DevOps Engineers
- Ability to work with, interpret and understand business client requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization
- Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure, adhere to project deadlines and procedures, multi-task and be detail-oriented
- Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
- Technical experience working with the following: .NET frameworks (4.5+, CORE), C#, Angular, React, NUGET packages - consumption and creation, SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT)
- Expert knowledge of Windows server technologies (ex. IIS configurations, monitoring agents) and network configurations (ex. DNS, proxy, firewall rule exceptions)
- Hands-on experience working with Windows and Linux/Unix virtual machines
- Understanding of Change Control procedures, High Availability, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery concepts as they relate to Distributed Systems architecture
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Application Insights, SolarWinds, etc.)
