Principal duties and responsibilities
- Coordinates and manages day to day operations as well as participates in project work and changes to the production server environment.
- Maintains awareness of technology developments and makes recommendations to management.
- Assists with resolution of escalated incidents and participates in problem management activities.
- Cross-trains other IT staff in the use or maintenance of technology.
- Supports efforts to architect infrastructure solutions around business requirements.
- Exhibits accuracy, attention to detail, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and ability to work in an atmosphere of multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Coordinates efforts with industry vendors around design and choice of infrastructure selection.
- Works with Project Managers to identify requirements, work breakdown structures, activity lists, activity estimates, project schedules, and technical documentation.
- Represents Infrastructure Services in cross departmental efforts, focusing on infrastructure impact in terms of architecture, cost and operational efficiencies.
- Mentors others on team around IT infrastructure and industry developments
- Proactively identifies improvement opportunities in the technical environment
- Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Displays professionalism, quality service and a "can do" attitude to internal members/departments of the Firm as well as external clients and vendors via electronic and print correspondence, over the telephone and in-person
7+ years of related experience and related Degree
Experience leading Engineering team
Technical Requirements:
- AWS (not particular on services experience – just using the basics like Lambda etc.)
- Python & Shell scripting
- CI/CD
- Jenkins
- Scheduling Batch jobs Exp (Arrow Pref)
- Overall DevOps knowledge (do not need IAC in particular though)
- Jira for P.M tools
