Job Purpose
What does a great Senior AppOps Automation Technical Analyst do?
As an Intelligence Process Automation developer is a key player in designing, building, and supporting leading edge Robotic Process Automation (RPA), AI and Machine Learning solutions to support new product implementations, revenue acceleration, and tactical process automation. As Automation Solution Analysts you do by combining techniques that digitize and structure data, process information, and enable cognitive decision-making to drive business outcomes. Our Analysts work as key liaisons to the various business units, implementation teams, and development teams. Analysts focus on process-first design to assess and prioritize automation opportunities, select automation techniques based on suitability, and help to reimagine processes that transform the customer journey and drive exponential value and efficiency with app ops delivery. Must have an overall understanding of DevOps and fundamentals of multi-tier application support. You will also be part of the rotating on-call schedule, project participation, and business continuity support for the Card Services processing on Linux/Unix/java systems. You must have great communication skills, as the role periodically interfaces with clients, vendors and business partners.
Addressing client/vendor/internal escalated requests for assistance; engaging with implementation, system administration, and/or development teams on taking over support responsibilities for efforts that should belong with AppOps; improving execution by scripting of repetitive tasks, and automate error/failure notification using Splunk. You must have an overall understanding of DevOps and fundamentals of multi-tier application support. You will lead the rotating on-call schedule, project participation, and business continuity support for the Card Services processing on Linux/Unix and Tandem systems. You will be measured on the quality of production changes, timeliness of incident resolution, skill and speed of triage, monitoring and interpretation of alerts, and successful completion of projects or assigned tasks. You must have great communication skills, as the role periodically interfaces with clients, vendors and business partners.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Work on complex automation projects and deliver solutions to the business that drive meaningful impact in terms of efficiency savings, additional revenue, quality improvements, and client satisfaction
- Able to lead implementation and delivery of all automation work items for the Debit Application Operations team
- On-call participant available 24x7 on rotating basis to address Service Point escalated issues impacting automation for critical transaction and authorization processing solutions
- Troubleshooting issues within production and non-production multi-tier environments
- Create application monitoring scripts and automate alerts to inform technical teams of problems
- Play an active role in process discovery, analysis, and optimization of business systems
- Partner with project leads on solution design for automation including workflow automation (BMPS), OCR/ICR, NLP, ETL, and Process mapping/RACI
- Support deployment and testing of low code / no code tools to our processes (e.g. Appian, Alteryx, Smartsheets)
- Engage with business unit partners to conduct discovery and design workshops on automate and reduce manual efforts to complete BAU work items
- Build knowledge and attain certification in various intelligent automation tools
- Evaluate Technical Complexity among automations and help in prioritizing use cases and solutions
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and assignments and work with offshore associates to deliver
- Team player with ability to demonstrate critical thinking, providing options, recommendations, and additional actions relating to resolving issues, mitigating risks and resolving escalated concerns
