We are seeking a Technical Project Manager for a client of ours in the Government/Municipality space. Ideal candidates will have at least 8 years of strong Technical Project Management experience with knowledge of Enterprise Data Architecture, Big Data, ETL, Data Governance and Data Implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Part of a smaller team managing all aspects of development and implementation of the project.
- Act as single point of contact for client.
- Provide technical expertise to enhance clients EDA (Enterprise Data Architecture) including recommendations and implementation of automation or other procedural improvements.
- Increase accuracy and currency to reduce level of effort required to sustain the EDA.
- Recommend and implement tools/capabilities which enhance end user comprehension of EDA including Documentation.
- Enhance tools in response to data architecture needs.
- Ensure availability of tools to end users.
- Leverage data repositories for cost-benefit analysis.
- Promote alignment with data management industry standards and best practices.
- Plan, execute and measure improvement of data quality in specific project/program areas.
- Responsible for keeping SOP's current and provide though/leadership to optimize procedures to maximize quality of Tools being used, Data, Processes, Procedures and End User Documentation.
- 8+ years of relevant experience with 4+ years full-lifecycle, software development project management experience.
- Project Management Certification such as PMP.
- Strong writing and presentation skills.
- Expert knowledge in the design of transactional and dimensional data stores, as well as and data integration (ETL processes).
- Expert knowledge in the creation of physical, conceptual and logical data models at both the system and enterprise level, using tools such as Erwin.
- Working knowledge in design of Service-Oriented Architecture at the enterprise-level.
- Experience in implementing and supporting data governance tools.
- Experience in design of Big Data Environments which utilize technologies such as distributed processing, graph databases, AI, etc.
- Experience in National Information Exchange Model (NIEM)-based data structures and architectures, as well as experience in the creation of NIEM Domains.
- Experience in implementing a formal data quality improvement program, including data profiling, monitoring, and reporting.
- Experience in implementing automated testing.
- Experience in implementing DevOps or DevSecOps.
- Expert knowledge in implementing agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban on a project team.
