Description: Our client is currently seeking a Technical Scrum Master.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Guides the team(s) and the organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers
- Guides the team(s) on how to get the most out of self-organization
- Assesses the Scrum Maturity of the team(s) and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization •
- Removes impediments or guiding the team(s) to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
- Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
- Facilitates getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
- Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
- Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
- Supports and educates the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog
- Provides all support to the team(s) using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example
- Performs as an evangelist for company internal implementation of SAFe (SAFe + PLM)
- Helps the department and company mature out of legacy processes
- Helps with Root Cause Analysis and maintain other process already in place
- Keeps external stakeholders and other interested parties well-informed on team progress and activities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Knowledge of other agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
- Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
- Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team (Java/J2EE,Webservices,UI technology, Automation tools and technology, Jenkins, GitHub, DevOPs Technology, Splunk, Dynatrace. etc.)
- Previous experience as a development team lead or Java Programmer.
- Traditional project management experience is a plus
- Has excellent communication and mentoring skills.
- Prepares quality estimation with appropriate assumptions
- Has the ability to break complex topics into meaningful chunks of information
- Identifies cause and effect relationships between known and unknown variables.
- Identifies and analyzes options and selects course of action based on best fit with desired outcomes
- Considers the customer experience, business impact and solution objective when managing the development and design of solutions
- Sources, acquires, onboards, deploys, releases, and develops talent
- Communicates critical information up the chain; speak up effectively on critical issues.
- Is on the lookout for in-team innovative opportunities and contribute to the overall initiatives of the enterprise.
- Is an exemplar of the mission, values, culture, and philosophy of the enterprise.
- Is effective and efficient in the use of resources.
- Is an early adopter and supporter of changes.
