Role: Senior Project Manager (Trading Systems)
Duration: 6 month contract.

Location: Minneapolis ( Remote option available)
Please note the soft skills required and some experience with hedging, trading, or risk management systems.
Our Minneapolis area client is looking for a strong Senior Project Manager (Trading Systems). A PM with exceptional interpersonal skills is needed to work with outside vendors on a back-office migration to a new trading platform. A background in trading, hedging or risk management projects would be highly preferred. You will be working on a key project for a critical business unit. It is expected to be at minimum a 6 month contract.
What Experience Should You Have?
Minimum of 7 years leading project delivery
Experience leading change affecting process, people, data and technology someone with strong soft skills will be a must to build the relationship with the business sponsor and to show the value add of the PM role overall
Experience in formal techniques of risk management (trading, hedging...etc)
Experience setting project objectives focused on the business case for the work
Budget (capital and expense) management experience
Experience managing using project management methodologies and tools
Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) experience
o Strong knowledge of MS Project for creating the project plan and plan management
o Knowledge of MS Teams
o Ability to lay out pros/cons of any suggested scope changes along with impacts to budget, timeframe and risk.
o Experience with third-party vendors and holding them accountable to the schedule/collaborating to integrate the vendor schedule with internal schedule
Minimum of 1 years' experience working in Agile delivery
o Experience managing Agile (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) AND Waterfall teams -- need to adapt to vendor methodology.
o Experience with Agile tools Azure DevOps (formerly TFS)
o Knowledge of Agile principles and practices and capacity to understand specific needs or requirements to apply skills/knowledge
