This position will work as a member of the Client Technology department. The ideal candidate will lead the development & ETL of data platforms for Client. The successful candidate is a seasoned leader who has a proven record of successfully optimizing ETL processes, developing data & analytics solutions and platforms to solve complex scenarios in an agile manner. Summary:

The qualified candidate will serve as a director-level, sometimes client-facing technical resource responsible for the architecture, design, optimization and/or upgrade of Client's current and future data solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Own creation and execution of plans for application and data asset retirement of technical debt as well as enterprise initiatives like schema architecture adjustments, ETL optimizations and application architecture
- Initiate and foster business partnerships with current and potential clients, vendors, IT executives, and senior business executives
- Develops relationships that promote trust and increase efficiency and effectiveness; balances individual client needs with business priorities
- Leads data team in building data management solutions which span all data platforms Data tools (client-facing data visualization, business intelligence), relational database management and data warehouse, with a focus on increasing customer retention and satisfaction
- Build-out new or transform existing Data Management tools or processes including protecting data as an asset (security, compliance, audit, etc.), data quality, efficiency and governance, central monitoring, data cataloging and reference data or MDM functions
- Workforce and talent development and strategy across the team's data engineering function
- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned by management
- Partner with Director of IT, Director of Devops, and Product team to establish efficient and effective delivery processes
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of development experience, including experience building, running, and deploying systems in a production environment
- Experience managing engineering teams
- BA/BS in computer science, or equivalent experience
- Proficient MySQL and SQL Server
- Experience leading data-centric teams & proven track record of career development for direct reports
- Experience with Docker
- Strong proficiency with Pentaho, Java and ETL tools using Python
- Familiar with Python
- Familiar with Agile software development
- Machine learning background a plus
- Experience with service-oriented architecture and Active Directory integration
- Experience with git version control
- Experience with Amazon web services
- Experience with Gitlab or similar CI/CD pipeline tools
- Comfortable working in Linux environments
- Specialty Pharmacy and/or Healthcare experience preferred; aptitude for acquiring strong industry knowledge
- Ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical and business concepts and express them in clear language
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) with internal and external clients
